Welcome

We are glad that you have taken the time to find us on the web. We invite you to browse our site and if possible to worship with us when you are in our area (1A Waterworks Road, North Ipswich). We are a congregation of ordinary believers who strive to be Christ-centred. It is our desire “that in all things He may have the pre-eminence,” Colossians 1:18. We also wish to embrace the Apostle Paul’s perspective – “I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2. It is our heart’s desire to glorify and proclaim Jesus Christ

March Quotes: Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

  • "No man by nature and left to himself has ever sought God...If you and I can claim as Christian people that we are seeking God, there is only one explanation for it, and that is that God has first sought us...Show me a man who can say honestly that he is seeking after God, and I will show you a man who has been quickened by God's Spirit, whom God has sought." From Romans 2:1-3:20: The Righteous Judgement of God

  • “A man does not become a Christian by making a decision. He is made a Christian by God, who had marked him out before the foundation of the world and who sees to it that he is born and sees to it that he believes.” From Romans 9:1-33: God’s Sovereign Purpose

  • “A Christian is the result of the operation of God, nothing less, nothing else. No man can make himself a Christian; God alone makes Christians… A Christian is one who has been created anew and there is only One who can create, namely, God. It takes the power of God to make a Christian.” From Ephesians 1:1-23: God’s Ultimate Purpose

  • "Our justification means not only that our sins are forgiven and that we have been declared to be righteous by God Himself, not merely that we were righteous at the moment when we believed, but permanently righteous. For justification means this also, that we are given by God the positive righteousness of His own Son, the Lord Jesus Christ." From Spiritual Depression – Its Causes and its Cures

  • “… what after all, is the main cause of this spirit of fear? The answer is ‘self’ – self-love, self-concern, self-protection. Had you realized that the essence of this trouble is that these fearful people are really too absorbed in self – how can I do this, what if I fail? ‘I’ – they are constantly turning in upon themselves, looking at themselves and concerned about themselves.” From Spiritual Depression: Its Causes and Cures
