Welcome

Due to the Lord’s mercy we are holding Sunday morning (9am) church services again. If you would like to visit us this Sunday we welcome you to join us. Please be aware to meet requirements for reopening, all visitors will need to provide contact details for COVID tracing. We also suggest you arrive early as seating is limited. Alternatively, you can access our live-stream service via the button 'Live Stream' at the top of the page.

We are glad that you have taken the time to find us on the web. We invite you to browse our site and if possible to worship with us when you are in our area (1A Waterworks Road, North Ipswich). We are a congregation of ordinary believers who strive to be Christ-centred. It is our desire “that in all things He may have the pre-eminence,” Colossians 1:18. We also wish to embrace the Apostle Paul’s perspective – “I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2. It is our heart’s desire to glorify and proclaim Jesus Christ

Monthly Quotes: Martin Luther

  • What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in Heaven for our Lord God. For what we do in our calling here on earth in accordance with His word and command He counts as is were done in heaven for Him… Therefore we should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as scared and well-pleasing to God, not on its own account, but because of the word and the faith from which our obedience flows. The Man and His Work

  • The truth of the matter is rather as Christ says, “He who is not with me is against me.”… He does not say “He who is not with me is not against me either, but merely neutral.” The Bondage of Will

  • If there is anything in us, it is not our own; it is a gift of God. But if it is a gift of God, then it is entirely a debt one owes to love, that is, to the law of Charity. And if it is a debt owed to love, then I must serve others with it, not myself. Luther’s Lectures on Galatians Chapter 5-6

  • So when the devil throws your sins in your face and declares that you deserve death and hell, tell him this: “I admit that I deserve death and hell, what of it? For I know One who suffered and made satisfaction on my behalf. His name is Jesus Christ, Son of God and where He is there I shall be also” Letters of Spiritual Counsel

  • This is the most dangerous trial of all, when there is no trial and everything goes well; for then man is tempted to forget God, to become too bold and to misuse times of prosperity. A treatise on Good Works
