Welcome

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, we have temporarily cancelled all church gatherings in light of our love for our neighbor and one another, and according to the guidance of our government. We are live-streaming the morning service at 9:00 AM, and invite you to join us there on our Youtube channel. We are glad that you have taken the time to find us on the web. We invite you to browse our site and if possible to worship with us when you are in our area (1A Waterworks Road, North Ipswich). We are a congregation of ordinary believers who strive to be Christ-centred. It is our desire “that in all things He may have the pre-eminence,” Colossians 1:18. We also wish to embrace the Apostle Paul’s perspective – “I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2. It is our heart’s desire to glorify and proclaim Jesus Christ

Monthly Quotes: John MacArthur

  • Contrary to popular opinion, the most important characteristics of a godly mother is not her relationship with her children. It is her love for her husband. The love between husband and wife is the real key to a thriving family. A healthy home environment cannot be built exclusively on the parents’ love for their children. The properly situated family has marriage at the centre, families shouldn’t revolve around the children. • The Christian life is not adding Jesus Christ to one’s own way of life but renouncing that personal way of life for His and being willing to pay whatever cost that may require. New Testament Commentary: Matthew 1-15

  • Effective bible study is built on three key questions: What does the bible say? What does it mean? How does it apply to my life? Each of those questions is important, but applying the Word must always be the highest goal. Knowledge without application is useless. Being a Doer of the Word: Daily Devotion for June 8

  • Don’t believe anyone who says it’s easy to become a Christian. Salvation for sinners cost God his own Son; it cost God’s Son His life, and it’ll cost you the same thing. Salvation isn’t the result of an intellectual exercise. It comes from a life lived in obedience and service to Christ as revealed in the Scripture; it’s the fruit of actions, not intentions. • Prayer is not an attempt to get God to agree with you or provide for your selfish desires, but that it is both an affirmation of His sovereignty, righteousness, and majesty and an exercise to confirm your desires and purposes to His will and Glory. Alone with God
