Welcome

Due to the Lord’s mercy we are holding Sunday morning (9am) church services again. If you would like to visit us this Sunday we welcome you to join us. Please be aware to meet requirements for reopening, all visitors will need to provide contact details for COVID tracing. We also suggest you arrive early as seating is limited. Alternatively, you can access our live-stream service via the button 'Live Stream' at the top of the page.

We are glad that you have taken the time to find us on the web. We invite you to browse our site and if possible to worship with us when you are in our area (1A Waterworks Road, North Ipswich). We are a congregation of ordinary believers who strive to be Christ-centred. It is our desire “that in all things He may have the pre-eminence,” Colossians 1:18. We also wish to embrace the Apostle Paul’s perspective – “I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2. It is our heart’s desire to glorify and proclaim Jesus Christ

Monthly Quotes: J I Packer

  • Doctrinal preaching certainly bores the hypocrites; but it is only doctrinal preaching that will save Christ’s sheep. The preacher’s job is to proclaim the faith, not to provide entertainment for unbelievers – in other words, to feed the sheep rather than amuse the goats. A Quest for Godliness: The Puritan Vision of the Christian Life

  • There is a difference between knowing God and knowing about God. When you truly know God, you have energy to serve him, boldness to share him, and contentment in him. Knowing God

  • I need not to torment myself with the fear that my faith may fail; as grace led me to faith in the first place, so grace will keep me believing to the end. Faith, both in its origin and continuance, is a gift of grace. Knowing God

  • God uses chronic pain and weakness, along with other affliction, as his chisel for sculpting our lives. Felt weakness deepens dependence on Christ for strength each day. The weaker we feel, the harder we lean, the stronger we grow spiritually, even while our bodies waste away. God’s Plans for You

  • “Wait on the Lord” is a constant refrain in the Psalms, and it is a necessary word, for God often keeps us waiting. He is not in such a hurry as we are, and it is not his way to give more light in the future what we need for action in the present, or to guide us more than one step at a time. When in doubt, do nothing, but continue to wait on God. When action is needed light will come. Knowing God
