Who we are

We at Berean Bible Church are simply sinners saved by the sovereign grace of God (see Eph. 1:3-14). We were once not a people but are now the people of God (see 1 Peter 2:10).

Due to the great mercy that we have obtained in Jesus Christ it is our desire to glorify God through public worship and the preaching of His Word to all.

We endeavour to make our Lord’s Day service interesting and meaningful, however we make no effort to entertain.

The integral elements of each worship service are: the reading of God’s Word (1 Tim. 4:14), singing praises to God (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16), the offering of our prayers (1 Tim. 2:8), with the great part of each service normally given to expository preaching of God’s Word (2 Tim. 4:1-4).

We also gather most Lord’s Days after our fellowship lunch to study the Scriptures in various Bible Classes.

Obviously our church life is characterized by simplicity, for which we do not apologize, but rather unashamedly declare that we seek to reflect the emphasis of Acts 2:42: “They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
